Insurance: All vehicles are insured against third party accidents. Bodily injuries to other drivers, damage to other drivers’ vehicles, treatment in the event of an accident and personal injury, as well as legal services. With third party insurance, the renter must assume the total amount of damage to the vehicle he is driving and for which he is responsible. We offer additional CDW insurance (collision damage waiver, at an additional cost.
Optional insurance coverage: By paying an additional €5.00 per day, you receive CDW (
Collision Damage Waiver) insurance. Damage Waiver ) with which, in the event of an accident, your liability is limited to a maximum of €350 (+ VAT), for vehicles from 125 cc and above, the CDW charge is €10.00 per day and in the event of an accident, your liability is limited to a maximum of €450 (+ VAT). CDW does not cover: personal belongings, lost keys, broken key switches , additional GPS cases, phone mounts ,
etc. *CDW is not an official insurance policy.
Insurance exclusions: INSURANCE does not apply to anything that may happen when the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. When the driver violates the code of road rules and regulations and in any case where the vehicle is driven in an unsafe or unroadworthy area. For example, any damage to the vehicle when it has been transported to mountainous or rocky roads, beaches, swamps or areas considered unsuitable for vehicles. Any damage to the tires, mirrors, scooter exhaust and the underside of the vehicle are not covered by the insurance policy. For accidents caused by a driver not mentioned in the rental contract.
In order for any damage to be covered by the insurance, you are required to have an official copy of the police report. Parking is only allowed in municipal parking lots and private parking lots and not on the main roads.
Delivery – Drop-off of vehicle: The renter is obliged to return the vehicle on the specific date and time stated in the contract. He must return it to the same location and the vehicle must be in the same condition as when it was rented. To certify this, the vehicle is photographed upon return and compared with the delivery photo. The gas tank must have the same level as the receipt, there is no refund for gasoline not used by the renter. If there is a difference, the renter is obliged to pay the amount of 10.00 euros.
Scooter2ride allows an extension of 30 minutes after the agreed delivery time, without additional charge. In case the renter exceeds the 30-minute time limit, he will be charged for the entire day.
Delivery of exact model : The company reserves the right to replace the model with a similar one or to cancel the rental in case of emergency.
In case of “last minute” technical problems, the company reserves the right to change the vehicle you have chosen and replace it with another vehicle at no extra charge or to cancel the reservation or refund the money, always in consultation with the customer!
Helmets : In case of theft, loss or significant damage, the charge is 45.00 euros per helmet.
keyless keys : 50.00 – 100 euros.
Tire wear : In the event of a flat tire, if you pay an additional €2.00 per day, then you are not charged the €1.00/ km and €20 for repair.
Taxes : All prices are subject to 24% VAT + VAT.
Parking: prohibited on Papavassiliou Street, at the port and in the center of Naxos Town. Allowed only in municipal parking lots.
Excursions outside the island: This is only allowed with the consent of Scooter 2 ride .

Cancellation Policy: In case the renter cancels the reservation up to 14 days before the pick-up date, Scooter 2 ride will refund the full amount of the initial deposit. If the vehicle is returned earlier than the date and time stated in the contract, Scooter 2 ride has the right to charge the renter in full for the entire period.
The rental company has the right to cancel the reservation in case of inaccurate statements, such as in the driver’s license and credit card details, etc. and is entitled to charge the entire deposit. The company also has the right to cancel the reservation 2 hours after the date and time of pick-up of the reservation, in case of no-show, without prior notice and to proceed with the prepayment charge.
Finally, the company has full authority to terminate a rental agreement without prior notice and without refund, when the renter drives abnormally, when driving endangers people’s lives or when there is improper use of the vehicle. The driver is responsible for all violations of the Highway Code and parking during the rental period.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For any of the vehicles, driving on SAND, BEACH, STOVE LAKES, DRY LAKES or OFF ROADS is not permitted. There is a fine of €800 (+VAT) which is paid separately from any other insurance coverage the driver may have.
Personal Information
SCOOTER2RIDE will keep in its files the personal information of the Renter that has been filled in the form on the page, in order to ensure the proper execution of this agreement and to improve the administration and management of the motorcycle rental business. The Renter, by signing this agreement, expressly consents to the above-described processing of his personal information.
